I found 17 (!) shutters in the log cabin this weekend.
The ones in the front are not in terribly good condition, but there are some nice ones in the back.
My hope is that I can get 5 good pairs reconstructed for the front of the house… and maybe 2 pair for the right side.
Let me just tell you, they are beautiful! Fully-functional, and half green and half tealish blue. Of course, I’m thinking black. But they are amazing. I cannot even imagine how much replacements would cost to be built today. I am so lucky the previous owners were hoarders. And i mean that in the best way possible!
Here are some other interesting finds:
- chairs and windows
- chicken wire
- barrels
- air pressure gauges
- strange metal thing
- chemicals
- soapstone sink (with concrete that may or may not be able to be chipped off)and…..
- and airline filter ?!
