The big trees around the house are dropping pecans like crazy! We picked these two buckets last weekend and then today David (preservationist) showed me the pecan picker in the kitchen closet. A big thank-you to the Hipples for leaving that for us. Only about 6 more trees to pick. One by the chicken house. One by the log cabin. One by the outhouse (mrs hipple says these are the biggest). One in the back field and one by the pond. I am sure there are others…. Just not sure where. Anyway, if you get pecans for christmas… It may just be one of these. 🙂 oh, and they are VERY tasty.
